Reviews & Accolades for ‘Heroic Living’

“Lowney’s whole-life strategy connects us with our deepest beliefs, and connects these beliefs with what we do every day to ‘make the world not only life-giving and sustaining but beautiful and interesting.’”

– Thomas M. Loarie, Chairman, Mercator MedSystems, Inc.

“This book is not about guaranteed steps to success but suggests a thoughtful and convincing path to an integrated life.”

– Karen M. Ristau, EdD, President, NCEA

“Lowney’s powerful book refreshingly integrates strategic management, religious tradition, and human stories. The book is full of teachable moments that help one view life from the ‘inside out’ rather than the ‘outside in’—calling all of us to a better version of ourselves.”

– Michael D. Connelly, President and CEO, Catholic Healthcare Partners

“This work is a welcomed contribution for anyone longing for a more authentic and purposeful life.”

– Steve G. W. Moore, Executive Director, M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust

“Chris Lowney’s most recent book is a substantive blend of ‘why’ and ‘how’ to construct a life of purpose and integrity amidst the exigencies and complexities of our fast-paced daily lives.”

– Stephen A. Privett, SJ, President, University of San Francisco

“In Heroic Living, Lowney expands and deepens our understanding of how to be human in the midst of complexity and rapid change.”

– Charles L. Currie, SJ, President, Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities

Yes! We need "compassionate care by unarmed individuals," AND a better-resourced "ecosystem" of support, rather than kidding ourselves to imagine that band-aid quick fixes will resolve this terrible dilemma @SantEgidioUSA #mentalhealth #homelessness
